About Merdekarya [indie music venue] : We didn't pay an interior designer to help us look "cheap and grungy". We did it by picking up cheap and grungy things off the street. All the cool stuff (like the stage, lights, bookshelves etc) we built ourselves using discarded wooden pallets and spindles. All the boring stuff is from Ikea. We did this because we're musicians/writers and therefore can't afford expensive furniture, but we're telling people it's "for the environment"...

Essenjay (Wed, 20-Nov-2013) Being your average girl next door, we are currently full time students, with Syamim studying for a degree in advertising and Julia pursuing law. Our songs for that night will be based on variety. Apart from our favourites, this time we have decided to throw in some jazz as well. So be prepared. FB
