Even with the enactment of the Competition Act 2010 (CA 2010) there is still a colossal amount of businesses that are not conforming with its provisions. Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) attributes this to the fact that many businesses are not aware of the CA 2010’s existence or could be confused as to how it applies to their practices. This 1st MyCC Competition Law Conference – New Standards for Business in Malaysia will serve as a forum to create awareness of the existence of the CA2010, its purpose and the consequences of non-compliance. Topics include:
  • Anti-Competitive Agreements & Bid Rigging - Hilary Jennings, OECD
  • Vertical Agreement: About the Market Power? - Prof Richard Whish, King’s College
  • MyCC’s Compliance Manual- Ragunath Kesavan, Malaysia Competition Commission
  • Case Study: Compliance & Non-Compliance - Kaarli Eichhorn, Senior Counsel, GEC
  • The Charging Mechanisms - David Stallibrass, UK Office of Fair Trading
