The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) is an annual competition and accelerator based programme, which aims to identify, fund and nurture startups in clean technologies. GCIP Malaysia is a joint initiative of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) and Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT).

The GCIP’s 10-week Acceleration and Mentoring programme will run from July 1 to October 2016 , participants will benefit from interaction with the best mentors and industry experts from around the world. Application period is 1 March 2016 – 30 April 2016.  For 2016, the following categories are open for acceleration:
  • Energy efficiency
  • Energy generation
  • Waste to energy
  • Water efficiency
