Over the past several months, Sasibai Kimis has been an Eisenhower fellow, focusing on creating a long term market development plan by connecting with global designers and distribution networks for ethically produced artisanal lifestyle, home and gift products. She also explored the social entrepreneurship ecosystem and organizations that promote ethical fashion. Join us as she discusses the Eisenhower Fellowship and how her learnings can be applied to the social enterprise ecosystem in Malaysia!

Sasibai Kimis left a successful career in investment banking and private equity to launch Earth Heir, a luxury craftsmanship brand which infuses modern design into traditional crafts. Sasibai was a Wharton 40 Under 40 award winner in 2015 and Earth Heir won the British Council & Arthur Guinness Projects Social Enterprise Award 2015. [Image of Sasibai: efworld]

The Eisenhower Fellowship is a program that engages mid-career (age 32-45) professionals from around the world to enhance their leadership skills, broaden their network of contacts and deepen their global perspectives. The Program brings 20 – 25 Fellows from countries around the world to the U.S. each spring. Each Fellow receives an individualized five to seven week program of consultations with experts and senior officials in government, industry, academia, the arts and the not-for profit sector.
