The Personal Data Protection Act 2010
The enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) in late 2013 has given rise to issues and at times, complications, in the business processes and operations of many organisations. Some questions such as the adequacy of consent and cross-border transfer of data remain unanswered. This session will examine practical issues arising from the implementation of the PDPA, with recommendations on how to overcome complications that organisations may be facing.

Intellectual Property Law
This session is a review of legal issues in a variety of areas of intellectual property (IP), including patentability case law, copyright, and trade mark law and practice issues, to expose participants to IP law and create IP awareness, particularly in the field of IT.

Speakers Adlin Abdul Majid, MA & BA Jurisprudence, Oxford, Advocate and Solicitor, and Eunice Chan, LLB, Cardiff, Barrister at Law (Middle Temple), UK, are Partner and Senior Associate respectively at Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill. Organized by Upnamics.
