Innovation isn’t just about brainstorming for ideas and it certainly isn’t confined to the tech industry. At its core, innovation is about monetising creativity in a liberalised approach with the process becoming the DNA of the company.

There are “hard” and “soft” aspects to innovation. Many companies focus on the “hard” aspect of innovation which are usually product-driven and rely on heavy investments in research and development. The “soft” aspect focuses on the innovation ecosystem at the workplace which until recently, has largely been ignored by most companies.

Presented by General Electric, the Innovation @ Work Forum is BFM’s inaugural conference on innovation. Aptly themed “The Future is Innovation”, it intends to create a platform where businesses can come together to learn about the science of innovation.
