The Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), The John Hughes Institute and HKVFX bring you a 2-day hands-on Modeling Techniques for Production and Essential Workflows of Modeling for VFX Lecture by Bradley Sick. Content:
  • Definition of a model, types of models
  • The modeling process, using appropriate software
  • Painting and lookdev, rigging and animation testing
  • Tracking and matchmoving, 
  • Lighting/Rendering, Compositing

Bradley Sick is a veteran modeler with over 17 years of experience in the Visual Effects industry, having worked as a modeling supervisor on television commercials and many feature films while at Rhythm & Hues Studios. He was most recently the modeling supervisor on the Oscar-winning film Life of Pi

A hands on workshop also will be held on 28-29 April, 10am-4pm at Cyberjaya. This requires intermediate hands on knowledge of Autodesk Maya. You may register for both the lecture and workshop sessions, but only eligible participants will be selected for the workshop.
