[Open pitch event by and for classical musicians!] Open Recital is a community project by Classical Music Asia. It is open to all classical music students and classical musicians and singers regardless of age, grade and instrument. It also aims to provide classical music students with the opportunity to gain experience and build confidence by performing in front of a live audience. Amateurs and semi-pros are also welcome. To perform, email publisher.cma@gmail.com.

For our younger performers, we would like to request that your teacher thinks that you are ready to perform; that your have your piece ready. You don't have to memorise the piece that you will be playing, but it would be nice if you do so. You should play without worrying about the notes. You should be in another world when you perform - your consciousness is not rooted into your physical.

We've got a very very exciting line-up for August. There will be 3 violinists, 2 cellists, 5 pianists and 1 clarinettist. There will also be a piano trio, a string quartet and a viola quartet. Yes, a viola quartet - Open Recital gets these unusual breeds - and we welcome them with open arms. So, let the music begin!
