Professor Andrew Ng, co-founder of Coursera and an instructor of the highly popular Machine Learning course at Stanford University, will be visiting Singapore in December and is organizing a meetup.

Andrew Ng is Director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab and an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, He co-founded Coursera, an online education platform, with Daphne Koller.

He was born in the United Kingdom in 1976 and spent time in Hong and Singapore He  graduated from Raffles Institution in Singapore and received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. He attained his master's degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received his PhD from University of California, Berkeley in 2002. He started working at Stanford University during that year and currently lives in Palo Alto, California. [Wikipedia]
